Macmo

Macmo V1 is designed so the core product does not depend on a cloud service. There is no mandatory cloud backend, accounts, or synchronization in V1.

Telemetry

Macmo V1 does not require telemetry. If telemetry is ever introduced, it is specified to be opt-in, documented, minimal, and configurable.

Local communication

  • Local-only inter-process communication over Unix Domain Sockets
  • No public network exposure for the IPC layer
  • Event schema and payload validation
  • Malformed events are rejected

Data on your Mac

  • SQLite stores local application state
  • Credentials are stored in the macOS Keychain
  • SQLite does not replace secure credential storage
  • Permission decisions are logged locally

Security principles

  • Local-first
  • Least privilege
  • No unnecessary network listeners
  • Secure credential storage
  • Explicit permissions
  • Event validation
  • Audit logging
  • Human-controlled approvals

Macmo is in early development. Nothing on this site is a legal guarantee or a claim of certification.
